The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev met with the President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Chaudri Nadeem A. Rauf and honorary members of RCCI

On December 18, 2021, in Rawalpindi, within the framework of the visit of the official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan to participate in the Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) on the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev met with the President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Chaudri Nadeem A. Rauf and honorary members of RCCI.

After the exchange of greetings, a detailed dialogue took place on the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade and economic cooperation.

Deputy Minister A. Artykbaev informed the Pakistani side of the broad tourism and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, it was noted that this year Kyrgyzstan received a large number of Pakistani tourists who arrived in the country on charter flights.

The leadership of RCCI was also informed about the attractive factors of investing in the Kyrgyz Republic, the “E-visa” system, as well as the measures taken by the country's leadership to protect foreign investors.

A. Artykbaev focused the attention of honorary members of the chamber on the huge potential for interaction between the business communities of the two countries in various fields, including energy, textile, pharmaceutical industries and education.

The parties paid special attention to the issues of expanding transport interaction, in particular, the resumption of regular flights between the countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to make joint efforts to further strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.

The Pakistani side confirmed its readiness in every possible way to promote the establishment and expansion of direct business contacts between the business circles of the two countries, and also expressed gratitude to Deputy Minister A. Artykbayev for his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the very first day of his arrival in Pakistan.
