On March 4, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Azizbek Madmarov met with the Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) Ambassador Kairat Sarybai in Tashkent as part of the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation in the High-level International Conference "Regional cooperation of Central Asian countries in the framework of the Joint Action Plan for the Implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy".

During the meeting, Ambassador Kairat Sarybai informed about the work being done by the CICA Secretariat to prepare for the 6th Summit of Heads of State, scheduled to be held in the second half of 2022.

The parties discussed the Concept of transforming the CICA into a full-fledged international organization for the security and development of Asia, as well as the formation of the Council of Eminent Persons and other documents within the framework of the institutionalization of the CICA.

Azizbek Madmarov noted that Kyrgyzstan adheres to the goals and principles of the Meeting on strengthening mutual trust, cooperation and strengthening regional security, developing constructive relations of friendship and interaction with the CICA member states.
