On November 24, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the PRC held a Round table with the Institute of Eurasia of the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations on the topic: “Current situation and prospects of development of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations”.
Reference: the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) is one of the largest, oldest and most influential research academies of international studies in China. The Institute is one of the leading and authoritative think tanks in China, as well as an organization dedicated to the comprehensive study of the development of international relations in the modern world.
During this event, Ambassador K.Baktygulova spoke about the stabilization of the internal political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the upcoming Presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan on January 10, 2021, election processes, etc. She noted the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to all its international obligations and continuity in developing friendly relations with its foreign partners, including the People’s Republic of China, as well as protecting the rights of investors and ensuring the safety of foreign citizens located on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, the Chinese side expressed interest in deepening and expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and China, as one of the effective measures to strengthen bilateral relations between two countries. The CICIR leadership expressed hope for further stable development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
