On May 2, 2019, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Nuran Niyazaliev met with the Deputy Interior Minister and Director General of Public Security of the State of Qatar Staff Major General Saad Bin Jassim Al Khulaifi.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Qatari cooperation, including the implementation of agreements reached during the visits of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic (March 2018) and the Minister of Interior Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to the State of Qatar (October 2018). N. Niyazaliev made a request to assist the Qatari side in protecting the rights and interests of compatriots in Doha and the early introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of meeting, was reached an agreement on organizing visits to enhance cooperation and exchange of experience.
