On January 31, 2022, the Heads of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev and the Republic of Korea Chung Eui-Yong exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.

The congratulatory message of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, R. Kazakbaev, states:

«Let me express my sincere congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea.

Over the 30 years of cooperation, a solid foundation has been laid for bilateral relations. Regular political contacts have been established at the high levels, effective trade and economic interaction is carried out within the framework of the Kyrgyz-Korean Intergovernmental Commission, and the interregional ties are being strengthened.

I want to express the hope that the anniversary year will be marked by active and mutually beneficial cooperation on a wide range of bilateral and international issues, reflecting our common aspirations for the benefit of strengthening peace, stability and prosperity.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health, prosperity and continued success in your government activities».

The congratulatory message of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Chung Eui-yong, states:

«It is my pleasure, on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Korea, to extend to you and to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic my best wishes on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries.

Over the last thirty years, the bilateral relations have continued to evolve in a whole range of fields not least the political, economic and cultural spheres. In particular, I am delighted to note that the friendship between our countries has further deepened through high-level exchanges including our Ministerial Meeting in Dushanbe last year.

This is a truly meaningful milestone. And as we look to the three decades to come, it is my heartfelt hope to work closely with you to even further develop our partnership and nurture the bonds on the path ahead.
