The Kyrgyz Republic participates at the 30th Doha International Book Fair which is taking place these days in Doha.
The Doha International Book Fair is one of the largest and oldest book related events in the region and held annually under the patronage of Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The booth of Kyrgyz Republic is represented by the books of the great Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov. The books of other distinguished Kyrgyz writers translated to Arabic are expected to be introduced at the Book Fair.
At the first opening day of the book fair the Speaker of the Majlis Al Shura of the State of Qatar HE Ahmad bin Abdulla bin Zayed Al-Muhammad, the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali and some other officials, diplomats and writers visited Kyrgyz Pavilion.
