The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev took part at the scientific and practical conference on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China

On October 8, 2021 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev took part and made a speech at the scientific and practical conference that was held at the Bishkek State University named after K.Karasaev, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China.

In his speech, R Kazakbaev noted that in 2022 the parties celebrate not only the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, but also the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of China, signed on June 24, 2002 in Beijing.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic highlighted that today Kyrgyz-Chinese relations are developing dynamically and are at an unprecedented high level in the entire history of bilateral interaction; there are no fundamental and controversial issues between Kyrgyzstan and China that impede the further development of our relations. The relationship of Kyrgyzstan with China can be confidently called exemplary and time-tested, which will only be strengthened on the basis of friendship, good-neighborliness and partnership. R.Kazakbaev drew attention to the fact that being the second largest world power that has managed to ensure its internal stability and economic development, as well as being a neighboring country, China will continue to occupy a special place in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy priorities.

Foreign Minister R.Kazakbaev emphasized that traditionally friendly and good-neighborly relations between Kyrgyzstan and China do not only contribute to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership, but also serve to strengthen peace and stability on a regional and global scale.

R.Kazakbaev also indicated that in the field of foreign economic relations in 30 years, China has become one of the main trades and economic partners of Kyrgyzstan. Due to the high level of bilateral relations, joint projects in the field of energy and transport have been successfully implemented, work is underway at various stages to implement grant projects and negotiations are ongoing on the construction of the “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan” railway within the framework of initiative “One belt - One road”. At the end of the speech, he thanked the Chinese side for support during the COVID-19 pandemic and congratulated on the late Education Day of the People's Republic of China.

The event was organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the Bishkek State University named after K.Karasaev and the Center for Analysis of International Policy of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The conference was also attended by the Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Zh.Kulubaev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC in the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen, the former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary  of the Kyrgyz Republic in the PRC M.Imanaliev, the BSU rector A.Musaev, as well as members of the expert and academic community of the Kyrgyz Republic.
