The fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal State Service for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium took place

On September 7, 2021, in Brussels took place the fourth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal State Service for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium.

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the delegation of the Belgian Federal State Service for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Cooperation - Jeroen Cooreman, Director General for Bilateral Affairs in the rank of Deputy Minister.

During the consultations parties discussed issues of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, strengthening and expanding the interagency dialogue between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Belgium.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of building up cooperation in the field of trade and attracting investments.

The parties also discussed issues of the regional and international agenda, including the upcoming First EU-CA Economic Forum, which will be held on November 5, 2021 in Bishkek, the topic of facilitating the issuance of visas to Belgium to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, the allocation of quotas for students from the Kyrgyz Republic in universities in Belgium and the situation in Afghanistan.
