The second meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the President of the European Council has ended in Cholpon-Ata city

The second meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the President of the European Council has ended in Cholpon-Ata city of Issyk-Kul region.

The event was attended by the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the European Council Charles Michel and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammet Amannepesov.

After mutual greetings and joint photographing, all the leaders of the countries and Heads of delegations of Central Asia and the President of the European Council made a welcoming speech.

The Heads of Delegations noted the pressing issues of the region, the development of regional integration, cooperation with the European Union, as well as the need to combine efforts to enhance the development of relations between States and regional cooperation in all areas, including with the EU.

Following the results of the Second meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States and the President of the European Council a joint press communique was adopted.

The event ended with an official reception on behalf of President Sadyr Zhaparov.

Reminding that tomorrow,  June 3, the President of the European Council Charles Michael will pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
