On March 20, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov received the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan Gidayat Orujov.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani relations. An agreement was reached on the revitalization of interstate political, economic and trade, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the holding of the next meeting of the joint Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani commission on economic and humanitarian cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda, and also reaffirmed their mutual intention to further develop multi-faceted bilateral cooperation.
