On February 17, 2021, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul N. Abdrakhmanov held a video conference with representatives of the diaspora associations of the Kyrgyz Republic located in the provinces of Istanbul, Antalya, Izmir and Bursa.

During the meeting the Consul General reckoned the most important activities, results and reports of the 2020, as well as the plans of the Consulate General for the current year, which includes protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic arriving in Turkey, the expansion of consular presence within the consular district, the development of systematic work guidance with the diaspora structures, and etc.

In addition, sides exchanged various views, discussed problems and added proposals, in particular on consular and social issues, the legal stay of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey (work visa, residence permit, permanent residence permit, etc.) and the upcoming election events in Kyrgyzstan.

Sides mutually agreed on the need to sustain such format of meeting on a regular basis.
