On April 5, 2024, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Asein Isaev held a meeting with the Regional Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Central Asia, Mr. Hans Friedrich Schodder, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current and priority areas of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and UNHCR, including those related to issues of refugees, asylum seekers and stateless persons living in Kyrgyzstan.

Regional Representative H.Schodder highly appreciated the level of cooperation and confirmed that UNHCR will continue to provide assistance to Kyrgyzstan on issues of protecting the rights of refugees and implementing the obligations of the Kyrgyz Republic on issues of statelessness.

First Deputy Minister A.Isaev thanked Regional Representative H.Schodder for his cooperation and wished him successes in the future professional activities.
