On February 16, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif.

The parties discussed the current state, as well as prospects for Kyrgyz-Iranian cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, as well as interaction within the framework of international organizations.
