Kyrgyz-Polish relations

The Republic of Poland recognized the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic in December 27, 1991.

Diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Poland were established on February 10, 1992.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Kazakhstan is accredited to the Kyrgyz Republic (residence in Astana).

The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Federal Republic of Germany accredited in the Republic of Poland.

During the years of cooperation, two official visits took place at the presidential level: in 1998 and 2004. In 2002 the official visit of the President of Poland to the Kyrgyz Republic took place. In 2008, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic visited Poland.

On the inter-parliamentary level, in 2012 a Polish delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Seimas of Poland visited Kyrgyzstan.

There is a Kyrgyz-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. The co-chairman from the Kyrgyz side is the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the co-chairman from the Polish side - the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Poland.

In 1999 with the active assistance of the Embassy of Poland in Almaty, the Department of Philology of the Kyrgyz National University opened a branch of the Polish language.

Since 1998, the Polish cultural and educational association Odrodzenie (Revival) has been operating in Kyrgyzstan.
