On August 11, 2022, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev met with the Director of the Department of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection of Germany Dr. Dominic Schnichels.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev informed about the major logistics and infrastructure investment projects of Kyrgyzstan and invited the German side to take part in their implementation.

Dr. Dominik Schnichels noted that the Kyrgyz-German business forum held in Bishkek on June 13, 2022 and the creation of the Kyrgyz-German Business Council became a good start in enhancing Kyrgyz-German economic cooperation. Dr. Dominik Schnichels noted that the German side is interested in developing this cooperation.

Dr. Schnichels also informed that the Program for training business representatives of Kyrgyzstan in Germany, which is funded by the Government of Germany, will be continued and expanded.

The parties also discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, as well as implementing joint projects in the future.
