On January 31, 2023, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev met with the deputy of the Chamber of Deputies of Berlin Ms. Manuela Schmidt.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany in the field of education, science, culture, as well as issues of integration and employment of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany were discussed.

Ambassador Mr. O.Tekebaev informed the deputy of the Chamber of Deputies of Berlin about the successful Kyrgyz-German cooperation in the field of education and science and the ongoing work of the Embassy with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Germany. The Ambassador noted the importance of further integration of representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Germany and expressed hope for cooperation in providing support from the German side on this issue.

Ms. Manuela Schmidt thanked for the meeting and noted that the issues of migration, education and culture are one of the important areas of her activity as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Berlin, and expressed her readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in this direction.

The parties also discussed issues of mutual exchange of experience between women deputies of the city council and parliaments of the two countries.
