On July 10, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev met with the Secretary General of the Institute Goethe Johannes Ebert.

During the meeting, current issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Goethe Institute were discussed, as well as plans for further expansion of cooperation were outlined. Ambassador O. Tekebaev noted the importance of strengthening the teaching of the German language in Kyrgyzstan with the subsequent issuance of an appropriate language certificate, given the growing number of young people in Kyrgyzstan who want to get an education and find a job in Germany.

Secretary General J. Ebert noted that one of the goals of the Goethe Institute in Kyrgyzstan is to support the study of the German language and holding joint cultural events in the country, and expressed readiness for further close cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
