On July 17, 2023, the official meeting of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Omurbek Tekebaev with the Mayor of the city of Hannover of the Federal State of Lower Saxony Belit Onai took place.

The meeting was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Federal Land of Lower Saxony Margarethe Böhm and the director of the Bergman Educational Academy in Hannover, one of the successful representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Germany, Dastan Zhalilov.

During the meeting, Ambassador O. Tekebaev informed about the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, which are aimed at their further comprehensive deepening and expansion in all areas.

The parties discussed issues of interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and the city of Hannover. In particular, issues of cooperation on establishing cooperation between the cities of Bishkek and Hannover, studying and exchanging experience in the development of city management and public transport of the city, the possibility of participation of representatives from Kyrgyzstan in the annual largest international industrial exhibition in Hannover were noted. The issues of cooperation in the field of education, training of qualified personnel in Kyrgyzstan for employment in Germany, and support from the city of Hannover of representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Germany were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue joint work on the implementation of cooperation issues on the issues discussed. The German side was given investment projects in Kyrgyzstan in various sectors of the economy, including tourism. Ambassador O.Tekebaev made a memorable entry in the Golden Book for the honored guests of Hannover.
