On December 12, 2020, a literary evening dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the birth of the Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic, People's Writer of the Kyrgyz Republic Chyngyz Aitmatov took place in Germany online.

The event was organized by the public association of Kyrgyzstanis “Bildung. Initiative. Zusammenarbeit "- BIZ, which means" Education. Initiative. Cooperation". The moderator of the evening was the co-chairman of this association, Mrs. Asel-Sairaan Damir.

In their welcoming speech, representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed gratitude to the organizer of the evening, noting that the work of the writer is of interest to many readers in the world, as it has been translated into many languages ​​of the world.

During the literary evening, fans of the writer's talent from Germany, Switzerland and other European countries had the opportunity to read excerpts from the writer's works in Kyrgyz, Russian, German, English and Turkish.

The event was also attended by a publicist, Dr. Irmtraud Gutschke, who for many years has been studying the work of the great writer, regularly publishes publications and contributes to the preservation and popularization of the work of Chyngyz Aitmatov, both in Germany and in Europe. During the literary evening, Irmtraud Gutschke presented a new collection of literary works by Chingiz Aitmatov "Animal Stories" ("Tiergeschichten"), released on March 16, 2020. publishing house "Unionsverlag". The book uses materials translated by Irmtraud Gutschke and a contemporary of the writer from Bavaria, a prominent translator of Soviet literature Friedrich Hitzer (1935-2007).

Irmtraud Guchke also informed the participants of the evening about the intention of some Kyrgyzstanis in Europe to shoot the film "The Snow Leopard" in Kyrgyzstan in the coming year. In this regard, she noted with satisfaction the successful release of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek film "Delbirim", shot by the Uzbek director Sarvar Karimov by the studio "Uzbekkino" based on the story "My Poplar in a Red Headscarf" to the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov.

At the end of the evening, its participants expressed a common opinion on the continuation of the practice of holding such events with the participation of all interested parties.
