On August 31, 2021 the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul celebrated the 30th anniversary of Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event was participated by the deputy governor of Istanbul province Mrs. Ozlem Bozkurt Gevrek, Head of Beyoglu municipality Haydar Ali Yildiz, Secretary General of Union of Municipalities of Turkic World Mr. Fakhri Solak, representatives of diplomatic corps and international organizations, business - community, local authorities of Istanbul, and also by Kyrgyz diaspora, living in Turkey. 

In her speech, Consul General Lira Sydykova noted the development and formation of a sovereign Kyrgyzstan, emphasized brotherhood relations with Turkey, and expressed her good wishes to all those present. Mrs. O. B. Gevrek and Mr. H. A. Yıldız delivered a congratulatory speech to the Kyrgyz side and conveyed sincere and best wishes of Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, Governor of Istanbul Province and Mr. Ekrem Imamoglu, Mayor of Istanbul. 

The event was held in a joyful and friendly atmosphere, which was accompanied by a concert of honored artists from Kyrgyzstan.
