On 28 January 2023, the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on the results of the activities of the Foreign Ministry for 2022 with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov.

Akylbek Japarov noted that on 28 December 2022, during the final meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic chaired by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, where the main results of the activities of state bodies for 2022 were considered, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a positive assessment. At the same time, as Akylbek Japarov emphasized, the Ministry should continue to make full efforts to fulfill the tasks facing the Foreign policy.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers focused on the need to create favorable external conditions for the sustainable and stable development of Kyrgyzstan, improve the quality and standard of living of the population, maintain and develop international political contacts, expand ties in the field of security, foreign economy, military-technical, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and technical cooperation.

Summing up the results of 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Zheenbek Kulubaev outlined the main results of the diplomatic service of the Kyrgyz Republic in the implementation of priorities identified in the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026, in the Action Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in the Anti-crisis plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022, developed in connection with the growing geopolitical tensions in the world and the deepening global economic crisis.

The Minister emphasized that one of the main results of the work of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry over the past period is the strengthening of political dialogue and strategic partnership with allies and partners, as well as the achievement of specific agreements on the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Along with summarizing the results the Collegium of the Ministry identified the priority tasks of the Foreign Ministry for the medium term. Particular attention was paid to the need to continue active work on the development of economic diplomacy, assistance in attracting investments, promoting domestic exports, tourism potential, creating favorable foreign policy conditions for the development of the country and protecting the rights and interests of Kyrgyz citizens abroad.

During the meeting, an assessment was also given to the work of every structural division of the Ministry and Foreign mission of the Kyrgyz Republic.
