On June 19, 2022, in Riyadh, within the framework of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Jeenbek Kulubaev, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a very warm meeting was held with the Vice-Speaker of the Majlis Shura (Parliament) of the KSA Dr. Mishaal Mohammed Alsulami, who noted with satisfaction the high dynamic of bilateral cooperation, placing special emphasis on the historical proximity and common cultures of the two peoples.

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Saudi relations and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening political dialogue at high and the highest levels.

The parties noted the results of the recent visit of the parliamentary delegation of KSA to the Kyrgyz Republic, during which meaningful negotiations with high officials of the Kyrgyz Republic took place.

The parties agreed to provide the necessary assistance in organizing mutual visits, continue close cooperation within the framework of international organizations and direct efforts to increase trade turnover between the two countries, the opening of direct scheduled flights, the development of the tourism sector and the facilitation of entry into the KSA for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic by issuing an electronic tourist visa.

Minister J. Kulubaev noted with satisfaction the first official visit in the history of Kyrgyz-Saudi relations of the Minister of the Foreign Affairs of the KSA Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to the Kyrgyz Republic, which took place in March 2022, in the year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (October 19, 2022).

At the same time, he drew the interlocutor's attention to the need to intensify cooperation in realization of the existing great potential of cooperation between the two countries, which is especially relevant in the conditions of increasing tension in the modern world, highly appreciating the success of the KSA in implementing its national program “Saudi Vision 2030”.

During the meeting the parties also discussed issues on the international agenda, including regional security and the current situation in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Yemen.
