On September 16, 2022, Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev had a telephone conversation with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland Zbigniew Rau and the OSCE Secretary-General Helga Maria Schmid to discuss the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.

The Kyrgyz side provided up-to-date information on the current state of affairs and emphasized the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to de-escalation and resolving the situation exclusively through political and diplomatic means.

The OSCE representatives, noting the deep concern of the incoming news, urged to prevent the escalation of the conflict and settle disputes in a peaceful manner. They welcomed the efforts of the parties to establish a constructive dialogue and called to respect previously reached ceasefire agreements.
