On February 22, 2024, in Beijing, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization organized a solemn event on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the SCO Secretariat.

The event was attended and addressed by SCO Secretary General Mr. Zhang Ming, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Yi, who congratulated participants on the anniversary date.

The event was attended by the leadership and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, heads of diplomatic missions of the SCO member states, permanent representatives of the SCO member states to the SCO Secretariat and other guests.

During the event, the national costumes of the SCO countries were shown, introducing the participants of the event to the material and spiritual culture of the peoples of the SCO member states.
