Since the opening of the Embassy, bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait have been developing in a stable direction on the basis of mutual respect, trust and the desire for mutually beneficial expansion of cooperation. The Kyrgyz Republic receives quite a lot of attention from the Kuwaiti side due to its openness, democratic principles and liberal policies.

Over the ten years of the Embassy’s existence, the parties held a number of important events, including exchanges of visits at the highest and high levels, regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, meetings of intergovernmental commissions on trade and economic cooperation, cultural days, exhibitions, fairs and much more.

Positive dynamics in the trade and economic sphere and the annual increase in tourist flow from Kuwait to Kyrgyzstan were facilitated by the opening of direct flights of the Kuwaiti airline Jazeera Airways between Bishkek and Kuwait in June 2021, and from 2022 on the route Kuwait - Osh.

Thanks to the airline's cargo services, Kyrgyz exports to Kuwait are being established. At the end of 2023, the volume of trade between the two countries for the first time in history reached 4 million 610 thousand US dollars, of which Kyrgyz exports amounted to 4 million 446 thousand US dollars. In 2022, trade turnover between the two countries reached 3 million 370 thousand US dollars.

In 2022-2023 The flow of tourists from Kuwait to Kyrgyzstan annually reaches from 5 to 7 thousand people, half of which are Kuwaiti citizens.

In addition, the Kuwaiti side was among the leaders of Arab countries in providing assistance in financing infrastructure projects and social facilities in the country through loan and grant funds.
