On October 27, 2022, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, H.E. Mr. Talantbek Kushchubekov, met with the Rector of the Eötvös Loránd University “ELTE”, the President of the Conference of Hungarian Rectors, Dr. Borhy László.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the level of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary in the field of education, and also discussed promising areas for future cooperation. During the meeting, Ambassador T. Kushchubekov briefly dwelled on the current issues of the bilateral agenda in the field of education, as well as the prospects and plans for strengthening this interaction between the countries. In turn, Dr. L. Borhy shared the results of his working trip to the Kyrgyz Republic, which took place on October 10-11 this year, spoke in detail about the work of the Conference of Rectors of Hungary and further plans for its development, and also informed about the activities of the Eötvös Lorand University .

Further, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary T. Kushchubekov met with Kyrgyz students who study at the Eötvös Lorand University. In his speech, T. Kushchubekov informed the students about the current activities of the Embassy in the field of protecting the rights and interests of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and also briefly dwelled on the important aspects of educational cooperation between the countries. During the meeting, the students were able to ask the Ambassador their questions. An exchange of views took place on the existing issues of the stay and life of students, the form of education in Hungarian universities and many other topics.
