On August 3, 2023, in Budapest, Talantbek Kushchubekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, met with Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy and Energy Security of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.  

During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of the recently held 3rd meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council at the level of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó. The parties also exchanged views on the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary. 

Special attention was paid to the issues of interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and Hungary within the framework of international organizations and the European Union.

During the meeting the parties also touched upon topical issues of the international agenda.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue joint work aimed at strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, including within the framework of international organizations.
