On May 11, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov met with the Deputy Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Mohammed AlHassnah as well as with Nasser Alaqil, Vice President of  the National Companies promotion program, Head of the Directorate for Work with Projects Abroad.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation, with an emphasis on organizing mutual visits between relevant state authorities, the participation of Saudi companies in investment projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, the development of bilateral tourism and business contacts, organizing mutual trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as the opening of direct regular flights between the two countries.

Ambassador U.Maripov informed the Deputy Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia about the policy of the President and the efforts of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic to improve the investment climate, create a favorable business environment, protect the interests of domestic and foreign investors in the country,

and also expressed readiness to hold meetings with the business community of Saudi Arabia to present trade, economic and investment projects and tourism opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ambassador U.Maripov and Mohammed AlHassna paid special attention to the high-level holding of the next Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum, scheduled to be held in Kyrgyzstan in the second half of 2022.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue to work closely to improve the bilateral legal framework in the field of economy, trade and investment, as well as to maintain direct contacts on a regular basis.
