On September 6, 2022, in Riyadh the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev met with the Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the KSA Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan during his working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The parties noted the high dynamics of the Kyrgyz-Saudi cooperation, emphasizing the need to strengthen trade, economic, investment ties and establish contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries. In this regard, the parties agreed to hold the Second Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Forum and the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission at a high level this year.

Minister Zh. Kulubaev spoke about the investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of energy, subsoil use, hotel business and other areas, and also noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in increasing the export of domestic products to the KSA and developing the tourism sector, focusing on the need for the early opening of direct regular flights between  two countries.

In result of the meeting the parties agreed to maintain constant contact and prepare for signing an agreement on the establishment of a Kyrgyz-Saudi business council.
