On November 4-5, 2019 in the city of Nur-Sultan of the Republic of Kazakhstan inter-MFA consultations were held on inventorying and improving the bilateral legal framework of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations.

Representatives of the foreign ministries carried out work on updating the lists of bilateral international treaties and other international documents.

To date, between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan at the interstate, intergovernmental, interparliamentary and interdepartmental levels, about 180 international treaties and more than 70 other international documents have been signed.

During the consultations, the parties exchanged experience in the work of the legal services of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries, including the practice of concluding international treaties, acting as depositary of international treaties, and participating in the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly on international law.
