On the celebration of the Day of Kyrgyzstan in South Korea

On October 4, 2021, the Day of Kyrgyzstan was celebrated in Hamyang within the framework of the International Expo “Wild Ginseng Anti-aging”, which was organized by the administration of the South Korean Hamyang city. During the event, the Embassy presented tourism opportunities, a concert program, culture and organic products of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the event, the anthems of the two countries were sung, a video about Kyrgyzstan was shown, and the Mayor of Hamyang , the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea Kemelova Dinara, and the Member of the Gyeongsangnam-do Parliament Kim Jae Un made welcoming speeches.

In her speech, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea Dinara Kemelova informed about the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, important achievements and events in the history of bilateral relations, current democratic processes in Kyrgyzstan, and also stressed the importance of holding joint events aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together.

As part of the cultural program, the cultural association "Ai-Peri" performed Kyrgyz dances and playing the komuz.

In a special pavilion, the Embassy, with the participation of the Kyrgyz diaspora, also organized a demonstration of videos about the tourism potential of the country, photo exhibition of Vlad Ushakov about Kyrgyzstan, distributed booklets about tourism and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the event, a Kyrgyz-Korean Roundtable was held with the participation of the mayor of Hamyang Seo Chun Su, representatives of industry agencies and departments of Hamyang, where the parties discussed the possibility of establishing twinning relations with the cities of the Kyrgyz Republic, accepting labor through the EPS system and seasonal workers, interregional trade and economic ties and the implementation of joint projects.

At the event, Korean guests were able to taste national treats and Kyrgyz honey.
