On April 6, 2022, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met with the Chairman of the Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation under the President of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Park Chong Soo. During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of Kyrgyz-South Korean cooperation for the coming years. An exchange of views took place on the issues of the capacity building of human resources, infrastructure, attracting investments, as well as developing cooperation in agriculture, transport and logistics, energy, ecology, education and digitalization. In addition, special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of healthcare in the light of the fight against COVID-19.

The Chairman of the Committee noted the importance of a multiplicative approach in the implementation of joint projects, and also expressed confidence that this year, which marks the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, will give an additional impetus to the development of Kyrgyz-South Korean bilateral cooperation.

In turn, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Ismailova assured that the Republic of Korea is one of the most important partners for Kyrgyzstan in the Asia-Pacific region, which is confirmed by the inclusion of Kyrgyzstan by the Government of the Republic of Korea in the list of partner countries. The Ambassador also noted the importance of holding joint events and increasing the frequency of mutual visits and close interaction at all levels of bilateral relations.
