On April 13, 2022, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met with the President of the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) Byung-Kwan Kim.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of current trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea. In particular, Ambassador A. Ismailova expressed the intention of the Kyrgyz side to increase trade with South Korea. She noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding exports by establishing supplies of domestic products to South Korea.

President of the Association Byung-Kwan Kim informed that KOIMA, in its activities focused on importing foreign goods and products to Korea, in connection with which, closely cooperates with foreign companies and assists in expanding ties with potential Korean enterprises.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the participation of Kyrgyz companies in the upcoming International Exhibition "Import Goods Fair" from June 23 to 25, 2022, in Seoul, where there will be an opportunity to promote the unique national products of Kyrgyzstan to the South Korean market.

Also, in KOIMA, a meeting between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Ismailova and the heads of South Korean companies (members of the Association) interested in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan was held. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on establishing cooperation in the field of trade between the countries. In addition, an agreement was reached to hold a business forum within the framework of the International Exhibition "Import Goods Fair".
