May 19, 2019 in the Ansan city (South Korea) there was held a multicultural festival "The 12^th Together Day".

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of embassies and diasporas of the Kyrgyz Republic, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and other countries.

The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Korea. She noted the historical similarity of the Kyrgyz and Korean people, spoke about the tourism potential and the beautiful nature of mountainous Kyrgyzstan, located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan also thanked the authorities of the Ansan city for creating favorable conditions for foreigners, including citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are living in this multicultural city of the South Korea.

The festival featured pavilions of various countries, including countries of Central Asia. Korean activists led by Mr. Chong Yong Kwan presented the tourism potential, as well as the culture of Kyrgyzstan, and invited visitors to make their own Kyrgyz kalpak. The Embassy thanks Korean volunteers who have actively participated in organizing the presentation of Kyrgyzstan.

Ansan City is located in Gyeonggi Province, south of Seoul. In the Ansan city where a population of about 700 thousand people there are 20 thousand enterprises. According to local authorities, more than 330 citizens of Kyrgyzstan live in Ansan.
