The forum was held as part of the international tourism exhibition “Seoul International Tourism Industry Fair”, which will be held from 6 to 9 June in Seoul. The forum was attended by leading Korean tour operators such as Hana tour, Semyung tour, Sanak tour, SK tour, Hyecho trecking and representatives of travel companies from Kyrgyzstan: Ak-Sai Travel, Travel Land and Kyrgyz Community Based Tourism Association. Also attended by leading Korean media in the field of tourism.
During the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova delivered a welcoming speech on the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. She drew attention to the fact that over the past few years there has been a noticeable increase in the number of tourists visiting Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, she called on travel agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic and South Korea to make Kyrgyzstan a famous tourist destination for Korean tourists.
Also, a representative of the Kyrgyz travel company Ak-sai Travel, Alexander Kalmykov, made a presentation on the tourism potential and opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, he spoke about the reasons for visiting and the types of tourism in Kyrgyzstan, such as mountaineering, trekking, camping, skiing, etc.
At the end of the forum, an activist from Kyrgyzstan Gulyayy Kozhomkulova played a komuz, and guests were invited to taste Kyrgyz national dishes and drinks.
