On June 8, 2019, a multicultural festival of 2019 was held in South Chungcheong Province (South Korea).

The governor of the South Chungcheong Province Yang Seung-jo and the Ambassadors of some of the states accredited in Seoul attended at the opening ceremony of the festival.

Kyrgyz Ambassador Dinara Kemelova delivered a welcoming speech, where she spoke about the tourism and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, the traditional hospitality of the Kyrgyz people and invited guests to visit Kyrgyzstan.

On the same day, Ambassador Dinara Kemelova held a bilateral meeting with the governor of South Chungcheong Province Yang Seung-jo, during which the Ambassador presented the draft Memorandum of Understanding between the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan and the South Korean province to the Korean side, as well as information on the investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. Also at the meeting, the Ambassador proposed active cooperation in the field of high-tech production, investment and employment of our citizens in factories and mills in the South Chungcheong Province.

The participation of the Kyrgyz side at such events and meetings allows making Kyrgyzstan more recognizable for representatives of Southeast countries, increasing the flow of tourists from South Korea, and also actively developing relations between the regions of the two countries.
