On December 29, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Aida Ismailova met with the President of the Asan Medical Center Park Seung Il, during which the parties discussed cooperation in the field of healthcare. In addition, A.Ismailova presented Park Seung Il with a letter of thanks on behalf of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Beishenaliev for his active participation in bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea in the field of healthcare.

It should be noted that in July 2023, with the assistance of the Embassy, 86 doctors and volunteers of the Asan clinic conducted consultations, treatment and operations for Kyrgyzstanis at the National Hospital free of charge.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the trip of a team of 100 doctors from the medical center to Kyrgyzstan in February 2024, which is being worked out by the Embassy, where diagnostics and treatment in the country's region will be carried out free of charge. Along with this, it is also planned to transfer medical equipment for medical institutions in Kyrgyzstan.

A.Ismailova expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the medical center to the Kyrgyz side and offered to hold similar events in remote areas of the Batken region.

Asan occupies several multi-storey buildings, where there are 4 institutes (oncology, cardiology, pediatrics and research), 27 specialized centers and 44 departments.
