During the visit of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Ismailova, a meeting was held with the mayor of Buan-gun Mr. Kweon Ig-Hyeon in order to discuss cooperation in the field of employment of Kyrgyz citizens for agricultural work.

During the meeting, which took place on February 26, 2024 in Buan-gun, Ambassador A.Ismailova noted the great labor potential of Kyrgyz citizens and stressed the interest of Kyrgyz citizens in employment in the Republic of Korea. In particular, the Ambassador proposed to conclude MOU aimed at sending Kyrgyz citizens, in particular residents of Jalal-Abad region, to seasonal agricultural work in Buan-gun.

In turn, the mayor of Buan-gun Mr. Kweon Ig-Hyeon expressed full support and willingness to cooperate from the local authorities. He confirmed his intention to sign MOU between the local authorities of the two countries, followed by discussion of specific deadlines and the number of workers.

This initiative is aimed at strengthening friendly relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea, as well as creating favorable conditions for labor migration, mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector.

It is expected that the signing of relevant documents will contribute to strengthening economic ties and the exchange of experience between the two countries, contributing to the development of agriculture and the well-being of citizens.
