Kyrgyzstan and South Korea discuss the possibility of joint project to digitalize the tangible and intangible heritage of the Kyrgyz people

On May 7, 2020, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea, Dinara Kemelova met with the delegation of the Asian Culture Center of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, headed by Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Research of the ACC Lee Chel woon.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of implementing a joint project on the cultural development of the Kyrgyz Republic through ODA (official development assistance). The parties agreed on the need to preserve the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic with the assistance of the Korean Asian Culture Center. Given the importance of regional development and digitalization of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Korean side proposes to digitalize the tangible and intangible heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

The project is important for preserving the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic, promoting the Kyrgyz culture abroad.

Also, at the end of the meeting, the ACC presented the Kyrgyz fairy tales translated into Korean, Russian and English to the Embassy.
