On April, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova met with the Executive Director of the Global Business Group of «KT Corporation», Mr. Jongsam Kim.

The parties exchanged views on the situation with the coronavirus and expressed hope that in the near future countries, having overcome this threat, will be able to continue trade and economic cooperation.

Ambassador and the Head of the KT delegation discussed the possibility of implementing a project in the field of automation of electricity distribution based on the PPP principle.

Ambassador offered the Korean company to actively invest in various sectors of the Kyrgyz economy. Also proposed to consider the possibility of producing appropriate equipment in Kyrgyz Republic, based on the Kyrgyzstan’s membership in the EAEU.

According to the Executive Director, KT is already implementing projects in Central Asia aimed at improving infrastructure in the energy sector.
