Central Asia association of culture and art “Ai-Peri” and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea hold a cultural event for the Korean audience

On November 7, 2020, a concert program was held in the building of the National Assembly of South Korea, is jointly organized by the Ai-Peri cultural association headed by Aisuluu Ashiraliyeva and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea.  The program also hosted a photo exhibition of the Kyrgyz photographer Vlad Ushakov on the nature and people of Kyrgyzstan, as well as a small exhibition by the artist Diyas Ustemirov.

         At the Program opening, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to South Korea Dinara Kemelova made a congratulatory speech, where she informed about important achievements and facts in the history of bilateral relations, current democratic processes in Kyrgyzstan, and also emphasized the importance of holding joint events aimed at bringing the peoples of the two countries closer each other.

         The Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Chan Kyung Tae, in his speech, noting the similarity of the Kyrgyz and Korean people, expressed his intention to assist in promoting trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as through KOTRA (Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

         A congratulatory message was read from the Ex-Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Lee Nak-yon, who paid an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic in 2019.

         As part of the cultural program, Kyrgyz dances and songs, playing komuz, K-pop were performed. There were presented fashion show of Kyrgyz national clothes by designers Zhumagul Sarieva, Zamira Moldosheva and Dinara Koshkarbaeva,  as well as Korean national clothes Hanbok.

         Korean guests were also able to taste national treats, Kyrgyz honey, fruit and berry tea prepared on the basis of dried fruits and berries from Kyrgyzstan.
