On March 1, 2021, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Head of the Presidential National Library Ayhan Tuglu.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on unimpeded and free access to the library by Kyrgyz citizens living and temporarily staying in Turkey, based on presenting a civil passport.

At the same time, during the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of librarianship, as well as the establishment of friendly relations with the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic of Alykul Osmonov.

For reference: The construction of the largest library in Turkey began in 2015 at the initiative of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The official opening was on February 20, 2020. The library is part of the presidential complex located in the Bestepe district of Ankara. The library collection includes 4 million printed documents, more than 120 million electronic editions, 550 thousand electronic books, manuscripts and early printed documents. The library has a "Kyrgyz Corner" consisting of books by Kyrgyz writers in Kyrgyz and Russian languages.
