Within the framework of the working visit to Turkey on April 12-13, 2021, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Imanaliev met with Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The parties discussed several issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and tourism, including consideration of the Agreement on the establishment and operation of the cultural center Yunus Emre, and also agreed to develop an Action Plan for holding mutual days of culture and send it to each side for consideration.

Noting the need to expand bilateral cooperation, Minister Mr. Imanaliev proposed to consider the possibility of signing a new Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture between the Ministries of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey, providing for various film and theater festivals.

Minister Kairat Imanaliev expressed hope for fruitful cooperation of the parties in the implementation of joint projects within the framework of TURKSOY and Turkic Council.
