President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received a delegation led by the  President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Mustafa Rifat Hisarcıklyoglu.

An exchange of views took place on topical issues of trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of significant projects.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Zhaparov emphasized that Turkey is not only a strategic partner for Kyrgyzstan but also a fraternal country, adding that the parties continue the best traditions of interstate relations, which were laid down exactly 30 years ago.

He expressed hope that the Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation in the political, trade, economic, and investment spheres will reach a new level.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that within the framework of the 8th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States, which is scheduled for November in Istanbul, he plans to meet with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In turn, Rifat Hisarcıklyoglu thanked for the invitation, conveyed warm greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the head of state and congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the 30th anniversary of independence.

Rifat Hisarcıklyoglu expressed high interest of Turkish investors in cooperation and readiness to implement projects in Kyrgyzstan.
