On December 14, 2021, as part of a working trip to Konya Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Governor of Konya Vahdettin Ozkan, Vice-Mayor of the city of the same name Mustafa Uzbash and Director of the Directorate for Migration Affairs of Konya Zeki Afshin Buzdzhu.

During the meetings, the parties noted the need to expand trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Konya, including opening of joint manufacturing facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic.

As well as the issues related to the protection of Kyrgyz citizens living in the province were discussed. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev expressed a kind request to provide assistance to the citizens in their comfortable stay in Turkey and in providing documents for those citizens who have overstayed their visa or exceeded validity period of residence permit for various reasons.
