Ankara hosted commemorative events dedicated to Kasym Tynystanov, Tugolbai Sydykbekov and Toktobolot Abdumomunov

On December 6-7, 2022, Ankara hosted commemorative events dedicated to the scientist, poet and statesman Kasym Tynystanov, writer Tugolbai Sydykbekov and playwright Toktobolot Abdumomunov, organized by TURKSOY.

The events were attended by Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerkebulan Sapiyev, Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Osmonaliev, Attache of the Embassy Begimai Bakytbek, Head of the Union of Eurasian Writers Yakup Omeroglu, as well as representatives of the scientific and educational community and cultures of Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye.

During the events, documentaries about Toktobolot Abdumomunov and Tugolbai Sydykbekov were screened, as well as a collection of poems by Kasym Tynystanov in Turkish was presented.

14 professors, figures of science and culture made presentations, during which they touched upon a wide range of issues related to the life and work of Tynystanov, Sydykbekov and Abdumomunov, including their significant contribution to the formation of national identity, the development of Kyrgyz culture and art, their heritage for the entire Turkic world.

The events ended with the performance of national music with komuz and an excerpt from the epic Manas, as well as the awarding of participants with letters of thanks.
