As part of a working trip to the city of Konya, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev met with representatives of Turkish companies interested in doing business in Kyrgyzstan, who are also members of the Konya Chamber of Commerce. The meeting took place at the Konya Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev highlighted the main measures taken by the leadership of Kyrgyzstan to protect investments and support business. He emphasized the favorable tax policy and stable growth of the national economy of the Kyrgyz Republic over the past three years. The ambassador also emphasized the increase in trade volumes between the countries and the interest of Kyrgyzstan in expanding cooperation with Konya province. In light of this, the need was expressed to move from discussions to practical implementation of plans to strengthen cooperation.

Ambassador R. Kazakbaev paid special attention to priority areas for investment, such as agriculture, livestock, hydropower, tourism and mining. To further discuss the issues raised at the meeting and establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, the Ambassador invited representatives of the business community of Konya province to visit Kyrgyzstan on a working visit.

At the meeting, representatives of Turkish companies showed interest in importing leather, developing renewable energy in the Kyrgyz Republic and mining.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a trip to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as organize a business forum “Kyrgyzstan-Konya”.
