On April 5, 2024, during a working trip to the city of Samsun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Türkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Chairman of the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Salih Zeki Murzioglu.

Samsun is a large city and the center of significant production facilities in the Black Sea region, with a developed logistics infrastructure and means of air, sea and land transport.

Chairman of the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry Salih Zeki Murzioglu informed Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev about the main industries, economic structure and cooperation opportunities of the city. Murzioglu noted that Samsun is the most important city in the Black Sea region with its agricultural and industrial infrastructure, healthcare investments and tourist areas. He also noted that Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan are not only friendly states, but also fraternal ones. In this regard, he expressed his readiness to establish cooperation in all areas.

In turn, Ambassador Ruslan Kazakbaev spoke about the advantages of investing in the Kyrgyz Republic and called on the Turkish side to actively invest in the country’s economy, indicating full support from the state. Particular attention was paid to priority areas for investment such as agriculture, livestock farming, hydropower, tourism, mining and light industry.

In order to further discuss the issues raised at the meeting and establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs of the two countries, as well as to study investment potential, the Ambassador invited representatives of the business community of each Samsun province to visit Kyrgyzstan.
