On January 9, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Rector of the Middle East Technical University (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi) Prof. Dr. Mustafa Versan Kok.

The parties agreed to establish contacts and exchange experiences between the Technokent Research Center of the Middle East Technical University and the Higher Technopark in Kyrgyzstan.

In order to study in the economic and engineering fields at the Middle East Technical University, as a leading higher educational institution in Turkey, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev proposed to increase the number of Kyrgyz students and establish friendly relations and cooperation between one of the technical Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
