On February 13-14, 2020, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev paid a working visit to the cities of Bursa and Iznik.

As part of the visit to Bursa, Ambassador Omuraliev met with the Governor of Bursa Province Yakup Dzhanbolat and noted the necessity of the expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the province of Bursa.

The parties discussed the preparations for the Fourth World Nomad Games to be held in Iznik city of Bursa Province in September 2020. Ambassador Omuraliev expressed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to share the experience of organizing and conducting the WNG previously held three times in the Kyrgyz Republic, and also noted the necessity of the participating students from Kyrgyzstan studying at the University of Uludag, Bursa, as volunteers in WNG-4.

Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev emphasized the symbolism of holding the WNG-4 in Iznik, where the memorial “Kyrgyzdar Turbesi” is located, which is a cultural and historical bridge between the two brotherly peoples. Governor Yakup Dzhanbolat assured that he would prepare additional information about “Kyrgyzdar Turbesi” for placement in tourist booklets about Iznik.

During the visit to Iznik, Ambassador Omuraliev met with the Mayor of Iznik Kagan Mehmet Ust, together with whom they examined the venue of WNG-4. Mayor Mehmet Usta said that for the WNG-4 it is planned to allocate an area of 20 hectares on which the necessary facilities will be built.
